Some days ago a client informed me he received 33 messages sent by me. In general, I communicate a lot with our clients, but 33 emails within short time is too much even for me. My first thought was: “My Outlook got compromised”. Some days and a lot of research later I realized it is just a bug in Outlook 2007. A bug that has been ignored by Microsoft for almost two years! Google Fast Flip: Major newspapers online for free

Last night Google launched a new service: Google Fast Flip, an online overview of many major news papers and magazines. According to the Google Blog this Fast Flip solution increases the browsing performance when reading news online. By flipping through articles really fast without unnatural delays it should just feel like you are reading print version. Is this the next nightmare for publishers?

Today TweetDeck has released v0.30 of their very successful Twitter desktop client. They claim that this release brings your friends even closer than before. From today you can fully manage your Facebook wall and pages and MySpace integration is available as well. But does this bring your friends closer? Let’s give it a try!

If you don’t know what to do with your time register for every available social network. But for me keeping all my social network accounts up to date is taking too much time. It’s possible to use all kind of tools to link all different networks, but what’s use in it? Is that social? Couldn’t we just all together agree to use just one or two social networks? Which one would win? Please vote on our poll!
Cooperation between Indian and Western providers will increase

Yesterday IT News published that the business process outsourcing market is set to undergo more consolidation among the mid-sized tier-two providers. But this is not applicable to the BPO market alone. About a year ago, at the Baltic Innovation Forum in Gdansk Indian and Eastern European IT providers already came to similar conclusions. No longer can we divide the world into us and them. Cooperation will be needed to become successful.

When, in May 2009, Google presented their latest invention Google Wave, some circles of tech experts received that news quite coldly and without significant interest. Today, a few weeks before Google Wave finally hits the web there’s a lot of hype around the idea. Before the downturn, outsourcing was becoming more and more popular mainly thanks to unrestricted access to resources and knowledge of specific domains. Partial reduction of incurred costs was another reason for it and it turned out to be the main reason during the downturn. Nowadays, outsourcing seems to start increasing again. Last week I mentioned many people were waiting for the Facebook 3.0 update on the iPhone. Honestly, I wasn’t. I used not to be such an intensive user of the previous version. The interface didn’t satisfy me, besides hardly any of my European friends were using Facebook and Twitter took most of my “free” time. Curious as I am I decided to install this new version to give it a try. Some days later I have to admit that I am still positively surprised about the major change of the usability of the application. But I have a major remark as well.
