It was June 2016, and I was flying back to the Netherlands from an Ariba SAP conference in Madrid (Spain). I flew with KLM, a Dutch leading aviation company. KLM uses a software application that Goyello is currently developing for a Belgian client.
I wanted to see what the application looks like from the pilot’s perspective, so I asked if I could have a look in the cockpit. The pilots received me warmly and even asked me to pass on their congratulations to the Goyello team for the great application they developed. When I went to take to my seat I found that it had been taken. I politely asked this person to leave and the man who was sitting next to me started a conversation. He introduced himself as a Scottish businessman, Stephen Kennedy.
Having heard about our application for pilots, he became really interested in the work we had been doing, especially for the aviation industry.
After a short casual talk, he told me about the challenges his company was facing as regards software development matters. We learnt much about each other’s companies and agreed to stay in touch.
What’s the outcome of our conversation conducted at the altitude of 10,000 feet? MAGPIE, Stephan Kennedy’s company, has been our highly appreciated client since July 2016.
